Various Hydrogeological Studies in Karstic Mountainous Terrain

Hydrogeological characterization to predict environmental impact from proposed waste rock dumps within mountainous terrains of the Tucush and Vallecito Valleys. The investigations included: hydrogeological mapping, drilling and installation of multi-level wells, pumping tests in fractured rock, 5 separate tracer tests, 3D numerical modeling, impact analysis.

  • Karst Commission Member for the International Association of Hydrogeologists (IAH) - position held since 2009. The goal of the karst commission is to promote a defensible scientific basis and professional practice for the sustainable management of karst water resources.
